“Enter Fault Lines” – A five-part podcast series on earthquakes
Through a five-part podcast series, CBC Vancouver explored the potentially devastating effects of massive earthquakes on the West Coast. Using an evergreen marketing approach, the podcasts were meant to attract new customers, engage the public with CBC-produced content and establish CBC Vancouver as a relevant source for educational information. Partnering with ShakeOut BC, the podcasts were launched during earthquake preparedness month in October 2016. The release and subsequent success of the podcasts led to increased purchases of earthquake preparedness kits and the initial implementation of an earthquake early warning and seismic monitoring program in Vancouver.
