The Truth About Influencers – An Introduction to Influencer Marketing – location TBD
You have undoubtedly heard about Influencers and the impact they have had – both good and bad. Many Marketers have lost sleep trying to understand just how to incorporate Influencers into the Marketing mix, and if they should even be part of that mix. This session aims to provide some clarity on the world of Influencers and how they work. From defining to working with Influencers, this session will introduce the Influencer ecosystem and provide some tips on how to navigate through this new communications channel.
Gabe is a Social Media and PR professional with over 17 years of experience in corporate, not-for-profit and government. His work history has seen him hold senior communications roles in organizations such as TELUS, Purolator, Nestlé Purina PetCare and the Region of Peel.
Gabe is a University of Toronto graduate and has completed certification in social media and digital marketing. Currently a Director, Media, Social Media & Influencer Relations with Scotiabank, Gabe leads the development of a bank-wide influencer strategy, as well as the integration of proactive media relations and strategic social media. He is also currently a Continuing Education Instructor at Humber College and Seneca College.
