“Created a large Canadian film festival and celebration on National Canadian Film Day 150 to promote Canadian film”
To celebrate National Canadian Film Day April 19, 2017, Reel Canada wanted to grow public awareness of Canadian films, break negative stereotypes surrounding Canadian film and challenge the notion that Canadians are uninterested in their own cinema. Partnering with Canadian agencies and filmmakers, Reel Canada produced a series of promotional videos advertising National Canadian Film Day. The results of the campaign resulted in over 1,000 screenings in 23 countries with approximately 1,000,000+ people watching a Canadian movie on their TV or computer.
