Michael is a corporate solicitor with over thirteen years of experience and has advised and negotiated on behalf of a myriad of clients across a broad spectrum of industries and businesses. Having worked for the law firms of Gowling Lafleur Henderson, Artindale & Partners LLP and Himelfarb Proszanski LLP, Mike is now embarked on an exciting new career path, where he is serving as what he terms “in-house consultant”, providing committed, consistent and valuable general counsel services to companies who do not require a full-time in-house lawyer. Mike counts a debtor assistance company, energy metrics corporation, freight forwarding and logistics firm and a telecommunications and internet services provider among his serviced clients and is currently assisting a yoga business with its initial franchise setup.With an undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey Business School, Mike’s motto for his business is ‘Thinking so You can Succeed’. Mike also has participated extensively in volunteer work in the not-for-profit sector, having sat upon a number of boards as a director and is currently a member of the board of the Canadian Association of Marketing Professionals.
About Nadine Evans
Nadine is the CEO of the Canadian Association of Marketing Professionals (CAMP). The biggest compliment you can pay Nadine is to call her an overachiever. Even as a young child, Nadine was interested in far too many things, volunteering for every club and sports team that would take her. She’s been called obsessive, competitive, focused, and intense –all are compliments to her.Raised in a small town in Newfoundland, she headed west after graduating with a BCom and fell in love with the bustle of Toronto. Her true passion is marketing and she’s spent the last 15 years in marketing roles, including a Director of Marketing for the past eight. It was this combination of marketing admiration and the buzz of getting involved that lead her to help launch the Canadian Association of Marketing Professionals (CAMP), an organization dedicated to uniting individual marketers across the country. She is currently serving on the Advisory Committee for Humber College’s Advertising and Marketing Communications Program, and is the Vice President of the Board for the Moving Forward 2015 Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to helping struggling families in York Region.In her spare time, Nadine can be found at the swimming pool, soccer field, or local gymnasium, loudly cheering for one of her two favourite munchkins and trying not to become that mom everyone fears.
Suresh Parmachand is the Strategic and Creative Director at Stratovate Group, a full service marketing and strategy agency. With over 15 years’ experience working with some of the world’s largest brands like GE, Wal-Mart, ICI, and Holcim, Suresh lives and breathes marketing and strives to be a Customer Advocate in everything he does. Tom Price is a highly accomplished Executive Director/V.P. Sales and Marketing. His most recent role was Executive Director for the Great Waterway, Regional Tourism Organization 9. Price has a multitude of comprehensive experience leading strategic planning and award-winning integrated marketing campaigns for major corporate brands and associations in the hotel and tourism industry. Price is successful in repositioning brands, sales and financial management, establishing digital and social media strategies, and developing and implementing marketing plans. Price holds a BA from Carleton University, and is known for working in a collaborative style and building strong teams.
