To announce TransferWise’s debut in the Canadian market, “Canada, Wake Up” was an experiential campaign designed to alert customers to the hidden fees their banks might be charging them. By executing viral video stunts (i.e. pillow fights in the Toronto PATH) in the months leading up to TransferWise’s debut, Tigris Events Inc. found a clever and fun way to discuss banking fees and money transfers. This resulted in over 626K video views and a news story spot on Breakfast Television.
