Student Scholarship - CAMPThank you to all who applied for our 2016 Marketing Student of the Year. We were incredibly pleased to see such passion amongst our applicants. This is the first time that CAMP is giving away our Marketing Student of the Year Award and Scholarship, and we could not have done this without the work and dedication of our judging. Out of many applicants for the Marketing Student of the Year Scholarship, our judges had to shortlist 5 students. It was a tough call for our judges (Jeffrey Fenton, Susan Kates, Nikhil Savio, Elizabeth Williams, and Fareha Zakir – please read more about our judges here as the competition is neck to neck and every other application turns out to be unique in its own way. Marketing has evolved over the years and branched off to many variants. In the current space, there are different areas in which one can be interested such as – digital marketing, influencer marketing, content marketing, database marketing, experiential marketing, video marketing, promotional marketing, email marketing, social media marketing and many more. The marketing domain is getting bigger and for students it is becoming a challenge to choose a field of their interest and pursue it. Some fields demand certifications other than the basic skills whereas, some require technical expertise. Marketing goes beyond the college degree or certificates and it has been articulated perfectly by our finalists and other applicants. We would like to congratulate all the finalists who made it to the Top 5. As in every race, there is only one winner. We are incredibly pleased to announce the 2016 winner for CAMP’s Marketing Student of the Year…William Etherington! William is a student pursuing Marketing Diploma from St. Lawrence College. He is a results-driven marketing professional with sales, marketing and start-up business experience, whose goal is to provide excellent marketing skills to exceed the needs of any corporation. Check out his passion for marketing.
